But you know this. I personally use AIX and HPUX. Sure, I'm living proof that you don't need anything like a qualified person to run an Informix shop. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. That's a end user problem: someone who can't figure out *not* to run and unknown program from an unknown source. If given Linux, they would glad execute unknown ksh scripts as root, which, for example, added a virus to ksh or csh that read the contents of your saved mail directory and send itself to every email address found. Or are you under the impression that unix is immune to virii? > > >Depends on the application, obviously. > > > >Yes, of course, if you _need_ a half-assed, completely daft, half- finished > >operating system with bollocks tools, compulsory reboots, shite performance > >and poor scalability as part of your application, NT is definitely the way > >to go. Nothing, it's just that the average user doesn't have a couple years of unix experience just to setup and maintain a database (and can't afford to pay some unix tech to maintain the system). -- Tom Kliethermes 90% of people give the rest of us a bad name.
