archiving via cron job?

I know archiving to disk file via cron job is unsupported but I'm doing it with Online 5.03, like others! However, the "tbmonitor" date and time-of-archive information does not agree with the online.log file nor with with any real clock time on our system (HP 9000/755/HPUX 9.05). My cron job runs at 19:52 and the online.log file shows the archive was done at the time the job ran, but looking at "tbmonitor status archive" I find the time shown in the "date and time of archive" column is anywhere from 2 to 3 hours earlier. Informix does not, I am told, rely on this time information for restores but I am concerned that something else might affect a restore from this discrepancy. Can anyone comment on this?
