There was a bug: 10045 THE RUN COMMAND WILL CLEAR SCREEN THE FIRST TIME ONLY In RDS, the run command after opening a window will clear the screen the first time. The other RUNs will NOT clear the screen. Originally this was "fixed" in 4.10.UE1 by making RUN clear the screen every time. This was pretty unpopular (you can probably figure out why) and was "unfixed" in 4.12, or maybe 4.11. If you are calling RUN after opening a window, then you are seeing the original (and still current) behavior. If, however, you are running 4.10.UEx or 4.11.x, and are NOT opening a window, then you are seeing the bad "fix", and going to a later version of 4GL (4.12 or later) should fix the problem.
