Specifying a path name in the code like that condemns the program to (near) instant obsolescence. When you change machine, or reorganize the discs, or make almost any change, all the source code has to be edited -- a maintenance nightmare. The correct fix has already been pointed out -- use DBPATH and the notation: OPEN FORM frm_name FROM "frm_name" Yours emphatically, Jonathan Leffler (johnl@informix.com) #include <disclaimer.h> PS: the proposed syntax 'OPEN frm_name FROM "/dir/frm_name"' won't compile because it is not valid syntax for opening a cursor!
