Suggestions on heater for garage/shop
Posted in 1997
hi, i have a two car garage that isn't finished on the inside, and so isn't insulated, open rafters on the cieling as well. i live in northern california, so temperatures drop into the mid 40's or so during the morning and into the day, if it is a cold day. with that in mind, does anyone have any suggestions about the best kind of heater to use? i'm looking for the best overall in heating capabilities, (i don't want to wait for 3 hours for the shop to heat up), cost efficiency, (as cheap as possible, but not so cheap that it doesn't work), and safety, (doesn't pour out loads of fumes). even though there are some good electric ones out there, that seems pretty inefficient. the kerosene or propane ones seem to pump out the heat, but i'm not sure about fumes, and the hassle of refilling them and such. anyway, i've done little research into this, so any tips/thoughts/ suggestions are appreciated. also, i don't get on the net very often, if you could email your responses i would appreciate it. thanks, mickm -- _____________________________________________________________________________ Mickey Mestel mickm@netcom.com -on a beach in thailand to a beautiful, stoned, norwegian woman: "..yeah, it's just another foreign country without ice." -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
