This is why some people don't want to migrate from 5 to 7. :-) You *have* to indulge in a major tuning exercise if you install 7. There is more to tweak, and you have to tweak it. :-) I don't remember the original post, but you will have to do more clever UPDATE STATISTICS and you will have to do some tuning. It would really help if you could send us a better description of your hardware config (how many CPUs, disks, RAM, etc.) and your ONCONFIG file for a start. >Art S.
