Bill If you have a 7.x server, then all you need is the appropriate sqlhosts entrie in the production machine to refer to the development machine. If you are running 5.x (or earlier) then you need I-connect. I would like to be able to access the development instance remotely from the production server. What do I need to set up in order to do that? They are already "trusted" between each other. Do I need to install I-Connect on one or both of the servers? Can this be done simply with the proper sqlhosts entries (and/or various other entries)? I know I can reference the other server by setting INFORMIXSERVER, what about the ONCONFIG and SQLHOSTS environment variables? Should they change?
