What status is shown in "onstat -" commands? -----Original Message----- From: Edward Rosenthal [mailto:edrosenthal@home.com] Sent: Thursday, February 24, 2000 8:01 AM To: informix-list@iiug.org Subject: switching disks then restoring with onbar problems ids udo 9.14UC8 on HP 10.20 platform i take an onbar -b -w and take offline. there are two dbspaces: "adsroot" and "adsdbs1" i rm the symbolic link to adsroot and relink to a new drive. i point the adsdbs1 symlink to another new drive. both these drives are newly created subdisks, informix informix 644. i edit the config file and point rootpath to the symbolic link ( which point to the new drive) i run onbar -r -w to have the new dbspaces instantiated with the old data ( it does not look like it worked) the instance does not come up. what did i do wrong?
