I feel his pain... Yes, the alert is "available" behind a password protected WEB page that you have to go wading thru... I just had an EMail exchange with Informix tech support about this. I pointed out that these "alerts" should be on the main (www.informix.com) page. SCO had the 5.0.5 Y2K patch top-o-the-page and only took 3 mouse clicks to download it! That is putting the customer FIRST! Informix makes you do all the digging! I guess this is the best way to keep their tech support profitable. I hope I can convince my management to go with a company that at least has some customer service. Something like this should jump out at you, not require you to search and hope make the right choice to find something you don't even know your looking for. Informix may have one of the best databases, I don't know, but in the current market they need to work on the customer support.
