how to correct system catalog tables error?
Posted in 2000

Hi,
I run the command oncheck -cc database and found the following error:
ERROR: syscolumns rowsize 14490 != informix.tpub rowsize 2798
How can I correct this error? Any help will be appreciated.
Dominic
I would unload, drop, rebuild, and reload the table.

No, not the system table, the table that's reported in the error. That
should recreate the syscolumns record correctly. informix.tpub. I
hadn't heard of that table before, so I assumed it wasn't a system
table. Is it a system table?

I guess you're right. But first I would count rowsize manually to
understand which value "is more like truth".
