Hi, This sounds cliche`, but the issue is probably that your application needs to be modified to do more commits. Even if you added another 2gb and stopped getting longtx's, what if there is a problem and it has to rollback. How long would it take? We had a situation where we had LTXHWM/LTXEHWM set to 50/60 and the logs still filled during longtx rollback. BIG MESS. Informix had to dial in and the application was down for almost a whole business day (they added another logical log with the DB down). So, we now use 45/50 for LTXHWM and LTXEHWM. Anyway, I would work on the application side more if you can.
