In > particular, on a HPUX 11.0 machine? Yes. You could run any of the three engines (.UC, .HC or .FC). If you're compiling 32-bit applications, then you probably want to use the .HC release. And to clarify: .UC = 32-bit compiled with HP-UX 10.20 libraries .HC = 32-bit compiled with HP-UX 11 libraries .FC = 64-bit compiled with HP-UX 11 libraries HTH, Chuck
