Granting connect permission on Informix Windows se

I am trying to grant connect permission to a Windows domain account on an Informix database instance running version 9.40.TC1 on Windows 2000. The user is able to connect to the sysmaster and sysutils database without any issue. I have granted the user connect permissions as informix, and I get a response back saying that the permissions were granted. However, when I try to connect using that user ID I get a 387 error. I was able to give connect permissions to my own personal user ID, so I know that the commands I am using are correct. I'm guessing that it may be a difference in the way my personal ID is set up, but I was wondering if anyone else had any other ideas why this user might not be able to access the database, even after I grant connect permissions to the user. Thanks in advance. Keith Schleicher IT Database Administrator B2-253B-A Office: 847-286-4027 Cell: 224-210-8358 Blackberry: 2242108358@messaging.sprintpcs.com Page: 2242108358@sprint.skytel.com
We were able to figure out what was wrong. I didn't put the user ID in quotes, and because of that the capitalization used was incorrect. Lesson learned when granting permissions.
