Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

I have a database with a table act.
If I
mv act201.idx act201.idx.bak
mv act201.dat act201.dat.bak
then if I try to drop the table act,
I get the error message -545 No write permission for table table name;
if I then try to create a new table act,
I get error message -310 cannot create table, it already exists.
So my question, which is somewhat academic, is there a way
that I can create a new table act using esql/c commands
for SCO unix without doing a
mv act201.dat.bak act201.dat
mv act201.idx.bak act201.idx
