BAR and NT :temporary files ?
Hi, I have an informix database of 3.5GB on a windows NT system. When I try to do a backup with the informix BAR I receive an error message "Error insufficientdisk spaces : files C:\\winnt\\ismXX.tmp " I suppose that this is a temporary file. I have only 200MB free on the disk C: I have looked on many places trying to find where Informix set the path for theses files but without succes. How can i modify this path ? Thank you in advance

How can i modify this path ? > >Thank you in advance I believe that if you set the envionment variable TEMP for the user informix, this will be where on-bar creates its temp files( I think ) i.e. log in as informix, go to the control panel -> system -> environment and change TEMP to d:\\temp (or whatever). You'll probably need to restart the database for the changes to take effect (maybe a machine reboot?) I have see that ther are many temporry files successivly created in c:\\Winnt and the last is so big that the disk is full. Any other suggestion ? Many Thanks Philippe
