Durand, Unfortunately the libsocket.a libarary doesn't come with SCO's development kit. You will have to have SCO's TCP development kit to get it. Also, I'm not sure about version 4.12, but you might also need to obtain SCO's crypt libarary. I needed it with version 6.00. SCO will provide the crypt libarary if you request it, but they don't provide it with the development kit. --- ,-, |~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| =3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D ___|| | | ----- //_ || | CANNON EXPRESS | ---- ,-----'| ~ | | | -- |o-----|__ |--`=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D_______________________________=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D___| ~~~~~~~~ `-(*)--=3D=3D=3D~~~~~~(*)(*)| (*)(*)| ------= - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Joseph Cullipher |E-mail: joseph@cannonexpress.com PO Box 364 |opinions express are those of my own and Springdale, AR 72764 USA |don't necessarily reflect those of my company ------------------------------------------------------------------------- On Wed, 2 Apr 1997, [iso-8859-1] Durand Solis Ra=FAl wrote: > I have recently adquired a new version of rds and c4gl, 4.12 for SCO > 3.2. > After installing it, I tried to compile some simple programs using c4gl > , but it gave > the error "libsocket.a not found", I looked for it through all > filesystems but=20 > It didn't appeared anywhere, then I edited the c4gl file and then > deleted the > -lsocket option in the line where the compiler (cc) is invoked but it=20 > gave me the error "undefined symbol gettimeofday". > I don't know what to do. > I have installed the entire development kit for SCO but I couldn't find > the library=20 > libsocket.lib, my former version of c4gl didn't need it. > What is happening to new version of rds and c4gl? >=20 >=20 > =09=09=09=09=09=09Thanks in advance >=20 > =09=09=09=09=09=09Raul Durand Solis > =09=09=09=09=09=09rdurand@sunat.gob.pe > =09=09=09=09=09=09PERU >=20
