Hi, We randomly had a connection problems from client to server with followning error message: Attempt to connect to database server xxxx failed. The client uses Informix-4gl (verstion 6.20). The server is IDS 7.3 on DG/UX 5.3R4.20. The problem occurs randomly. After the error message, we can run the same 4ge successfully wihtout any error message just a few seconds later. The following env. varibles have been set up in profile on client INFORMIXCONRETRY=10; export INFORMIXCONRETRY INFORMIXCONTIME=30; export INFORMIXCONTIME Please help. Thanks Yi Chen
