I have an AT&T 6386SX/EL WGS. I am using QEMM386.SYS for extended memory support in place of himem.sys. "Startsql" runs fine and takes up 198K. I still have room to run "isql" on top of it. I would still like to run the engine in protected mode, though. But when I run "pstartsql" it gives no errors on startup but takes up 392K (!) of memory, while at the same time extended memory, per the "pmem" command, goes from 4MB free to 2MB free. Are there documented incompatibilities between QEMM 5.1 and ISQL 2.10.06C ? Carl Mosley AT&T NS ctm@mvune.att.com
