Urgent !!! logbackup gives an error at the end.

We migrate our production server to another system, have to restore
from backup.
After restoring backup, I tried starting logical log files backup to
see everything is OK with the new system. When I cancel it by CTRL-C
it gives the following error message.
================================================
Performing continuous backup of logical logs.
Please mount tape 1 on prime:/dev/rmt/0 and press Return to continue ...
^C
Interrupt received ...
Log files may be lost, full system archive is required.
Logbackup interrupted. Server is down - buc_fe.c : Archive API
processing failed
at line 445 for rc
Program over.
================================================
As seen in the above listing, we are using a remote backup device.
Although,it says in the error message that the server is down, when I
check informix, it is up. However, even if online.log file stands that
logical logs are backup, after logical log backup cancelling it onstat -
l says differently, no files were backup.
Whats happenning !!!!!!
We need to start logical log backup as soon as possible.
Thanks for your support.
Best regards,

Have you tried to run an ontape -a to backup the current logs only?

Yes, I have tried it. It's okay. But, we need to have a continues
backup. Using differenct tape for each automatic logical log backup is
not practical for us. It also needs user intervetion.
Yener.
