Help. We run an Informix 9 sysem and the front end uses setnet32 ver 2.90 to connect to the database. We run this under citrix and find that we need to do the following to make the users work. 1. Make domain admin 2. Logon to server as them and config the setnet32 setting. 3. Take them out of domain admin. Its a real pain as we have just changed are citrix server and will have to change 50 plus users. Any ideas how we set the users to use one setnet32 connection?
I take it that normal users cannot change the registry, so try this: 1) Log on as the intended normal user. 2) Shift-right-click on "setnet32" from the Start menu. 3) Select "Run As" from the drop-down menu. 4) Enter "machine-name\\Administrator" (or similar) and the password. 5) Click OK and then use the Setnet32 as normal. Login as a user with the correct setnet settings, and run the CSDK utility regcopy.exe. This copies the user's settings to HKEY_USERS/.DEFAULT, which client applications look at if there isn't an HKEY_CURRENT_USER setting. Regards Guy Gazzer via DBMonster.com wrote: > Help.
