Since we are talking more like over $1,000,000 (software >and hardware) there is no way for me to speed up this process no matter >what >kind of a case I would make. Ok, so play the game... seek out on call support at x rate per hour min 10 hours per week. Now make it a 3 month contract with possible ext. Work the dollars and the time to where it fits under the 75k or your departments cap. For accounting, many companies accept exps. of 9,000 when their cap is 10,000, with only a wink. Look at what you are allowed and then work backwards. >Again I didn't appreciate some of the insults that I received - some by >private email, but I do appreciate the well intended advice. Insults would have been from those of limited knowledge so please excuse them. For the most part IMHO this group seeks to make things work by choosing 2 of 3 choices. 1) cheap 2) fast 3) good... pick 2 The support you are seeking is available, keeping the above choices in mind. >Maybe I should find a job somewhere with less red tape.
