To all,
I am unable to archive my data using ONTAPE because of a DBSPACE that is down.
The output of onstat -d shows the DBSPACE with a flag status of PD. Apparently,
this DBSPACE contains logical log files. Does anybody know how I can bring
this DBSPACE back up. There doesn't seem to be any errors with the logical
volume / disk containing the DBSPACE chunk. I've run ontape -l to backup the
logical logs but that does not change anything. The informix engine is ONLINE
DS 7.11 UC1.
Here's some additional history that might provide some clues,
-- System is an HP9000 Series 800 Model I??
-- Operations system has just been upgraded from HPUX 9.04 to 10.01
-- Informix Engine has just been upgraded from 7.10 to 7.11
In addition, I have another problem with databases that were created on version
7.10 of the engine. I can't succesfully select or drop these databases. Upon
trying, I am getting the following error after a long delay,
312: cannot update system catalog (syscolddepend)
134: ISAM error: no more locks
I don't know if these two problems are related or not.
Any help is much appreciated
Thanks
