The slide notes also contain the line "Best selling IBM SWG product 1H2006!" In Q12006 IBM reported Tivoli growing at 24%, Websphere at 26%, IM at 6% In Q22006 IBM reported Tivoli growing at 12%, Websphere at 17%, IM at 6% So on average, maybe Tivoli growing at 18%, Websphere at 21%, IM at 6% If Informix is indeed "the best selling SWG Prouct 1H2006" then I assume they can only mean fastest growth, and not absolute revenue (I doubt Informix outsells Websphere). So I would guess the "double digits" would need to mean somewhat better than 21% Informix hasn't gotten 21% more customers in the last half a year - we would have seen it if they did. So somehow the existing base must be providing the increase revenue. New license seats, or has there been a license increase recently ? Do these figures count support ? Support increase ? And if Informix is growing at 21% on LUW, but the overall category (IM) is only growing at 6%, then the DB2 LUW growth has to be considerably less than what Informix is doing (and possibly even a smaller base).
