Re: Access problems with datetime fields

I tested this and it works fine. We also have such fields with default current year to minute. I can change this and any other field interactively as I wish. I don't know if there are any problems if you write a program in MS Access. I don't do that. Kate_Tomchik@HomeDepot.COM wrote: :Nils, I'm curious. Do you experience any problems using Access to update :datetime fields? We :have a timestamp as the last column in many of our tables, and this :defaults to the current date fine :in an insert. But if we try to update any field in the record after the :datetime has been filled, the :system gives an error that the record is already being updated by another :user. Has anyone :else seen this, or know a work around? : :We are currently changing the fields to date when we need to use Access for :updates, then :restoring them later.
