OnLine and SE are released simultaneously (they are considered part of the Servers and Connectivity group of products, which includes network, i.e. I-Net and I-Star, and embedded language products), so there is no "lag". There are features that have been and will be added to OnLine that are not part of SE, but these will never be part of SE (BLOBs, for example). In general, any SQL level feature will be in both servers, though there are exceptions.
