Re: NewEra 3.0 : How do I add my own lib's to the Application Builder::component

See the project attributes for the component (set as library). Make sure the compiled dll is in your path. To make staticlibs set this option in component attributes, then use PRAGMA LINKAGE STATIC in your 4gh with formal prototypes of all functions, then search in your registry for "staticlib" and delete it. (You do not want to pass this to your fglc32 command line.). Using PRAGMA LINKAGE STATIC changes the c function declarations , unfortunately it conflicts with the declaration logic generated by using the -staticlib instruction to fglc32. (see NE_FUNDEF in the esqlc generated code). By the way this was reported to Informix and their reaction was "so what". They are crashing and burning badly. We are very close to abandoning the App Builder all together. We have already said goodbye to the "repository". We have found no value in the debugger. The "set isolation" command only seems to work with simple SQL (not ixSQLStmt objects). The list goes on and on and on. One last important point. PUT NOREPOSITORY=1 in all your projects to turn off the repository. If your "repository" db is corrupted you lose your projects. Now my rant; Friends don't let friends use the repository. Can the same be said for New Era ? Informix ? Trust me we've been using 3.0 for 5 months.
