Try adding "BTAPPENDERS 1" to your $ONCONFIG file and restarting Informix. This is a known software defect (97883) which had been addressed in newer releases. 97883 HUGE PERFORMANCE PROBLEM WITH ONCHECK -CI (UPPER CASE) IN 7.30 COMPARED TO 7.2X Workaround: Set BTAPPENDERS 1 in your ONCONFIG (not in the client environment) and the oncheck is running fast. It is taking forever (36 hours last time before we had to stop). Note no user access when job running. Database size is 74Gb. A restore only takes 2 hours. We are running Informix 7.3.FC6 on HPux 11.
