MS Proxy Server and Informix

Has anyone sucessfully gotten MS Proxy Server to log to an Informix DB. I am trying to use the Informix SDK ODBC drivers (from Informix) to allow our MS Proxy Server to place its logs in an Informix table rather than to a MS SQL Server table. The test connection in the ODBC configure works fine, but when I try to start the logging from MS Proxy, I get an error. ___________________________________________________________ Jay Aymond Community Coffee jaymond@communitycoffee.com
Hi Jay, This is a wild guess but worth trying. Informix CLI stores its information in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER which means the ODBC driver only works if the user is correct. Since MS Proxy is a service, it starts as a different user and the registry entries for CLI are not there for that user. Informix comes with a utility called RegCopy that will copy the CLI configuration settings to other users. Try running that utility and see if it works. You should be able to find regcopy.exe on the Informix CD.
