I am running IBM Informix Dynamic Server Version 9.40.FC2 on Tru64 UNIX V 5.1a
Does anyone know how to solve this problem.
Thanks
Kanti
IDS 9.40xC2 is a VERY old release circa 2001 or so and has gone out of
support, so you can't even get an upgrade within 9.40 at this point. IB
that you can still upgrade to the latest release (IDS 11.50xC4 and .xC5 is
on the horizon) for just the cost of renewing your support agreement.
Contact IBM, your IBM Informix distributor, or an IBM Informix partner for
details.

Kanti,
I got a very similar error this morning. In my case, the error was:
Archive failed - buc_fe.c : Archive API processing failed at line 251 for rc
I found that one chunk had the wrong owner, group, and permissions. Those
attributes must have changed after the instance was started because the chunk
did not show down in onstat -d. When I corrected the owner, group, and
permissions, the ontape archive completed successfully. HTH

Rob:
I check the permision and owner:group of all the chunks.
The permission is 660 and owner:group is informix for all the chunks.
I can run ontape level 1 backup without any problem. Only ontape level 0
backup does not work.
Thanks
Kanti
