Loopback connection problems...

Hello all,
I am running Linux Edition Suite on RedHat 6.0 (kernel
2.2.5). The installation went fine and the server came
up fine. Then I decided to add a loopback connection
(onsoctcp) through an alias and now the shared memory
is not getting initalized. Here is the snippet from the
online.log:
00:41:26 Event alarms enabled. ALARMPROG =
'/home/informix/etc/log_full.sh'
00:41:32 DR: DRAUTO is 0 (Off)
00:41:32 Requested shared memory segment size rounded from 588KB to592KB
00:41:32 Informix Dynamic Server Version 7.30.U SoftwareSerial Number AAC#A63XXXX
00:41:32 listener-thread: err = -27100: oserr = 2: errstr = : InternalCommunications Error: NSF subsystem error.
System error = 2.
00:41:32 Attempting to bring listener thread down
00:41:32 PANIC: Attempting to bring system down
If it helps, here is the sqlhosts file:
zobar onipcshm zobar xxx
zobar_net onsoctcp 127.0.0.1 dbzobar
and the etc/services:
dbzobar 5000/tcp # Informix server
and the DBSERVER names from onconfig:
DBSERVERNAME zobarDBSERVERNAMEALIAS zobar_net
If I remove the entries for the alias (zobar_net) it works
dandy cool. Any clues? Thanks for your time...

If it is the UC5, you need to upgrade to the UC7; if it is the UC7 version, I can't immediately help. And note that, as so often, providing the version number of the software can be key to getting a useful answer. -- Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@informix.com, jleffler@earthlink.net) Guardian of DBD::Informix v0.60 -- see http://www.perl.com/CPAN #include <disclaimer.h>
