Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

We're having problems connecting to the stores7 test database on a Linux
server from NT clients using both the Ilogin utility and through ODBC
drivers
(both Informix version 2.8 and Intersolv/Informix 3.01). The ODBC error
we are getting is -931 (Cannot locate servicename service/tcp service
in /etc/services).
The service name in the /etc/services and $INFORMIXDIR/etc/sqlhosts does
exist. We are able to connect to test db from dbaccess on the server...
Any ideas? Thanks!
