Insert into ... select from ... creates error -284

I have a simple insert statement that loads about 60,000 rows of 1.5
million rows and then aborts with the error:
(-284) A subquery has returned not exactly one row.
The statement looks like this:
INSERT INTO T1 (C1, C2, C3)
SELECT X1, X2, X3
FROM T2;
I have run this and similar statements many times before without errors.
Any ideas on what could be causing this?
I am running IDS 7.3 TC7 on an NT.

Hi Joel.
Could you please provide details about the tables "T1" and "T2", espcecially
with respect to uniqueness and integrity constraints.
Without this knowledge, it's largely guesswork.
