trigger on update

hi, I tried to create a Informix trigger on Update. When there is a update on a table, my trigger will call a strored procedure. But I got "the same trigger event already exists" when I tried to create the trigger. Are multiple triggers allowed on Updating the same table? According to the SQL manual for Informix : "Multiple update triggers on a table cannot include the same columns." So yes, you can have multiple triggers, but one must specify different columns in each create trigger statement. Maybe you aleady have defined a trigger that doesn't declare the columns ..ie in "CREATE TRIGGER trig UPDATE ON table REFERENCING ..... Look at the table schema to verify this.
