Is it a good idea to get data (user information, location informationetc.= ) for different applications from one central database using table synonyms= ? Does anyone use this approach? Or did anyone try and discard this solutio= n? = Regards, Andreas Kutsche ------------------------------------------------ SPAR Oesterreichische Warenhandels-AG Hauptzentrale Europastra=DFe 3 A-5015 Salzburg = Telefon : +43 662 4470 24423 E-Mail : Andreas.KUTSCHE@spar.at Internet: http://www.spar.at ------------------------------------------------ = ----LNX_Wed_May_14_2003_18:25:24_V3.33----
We use synonyms where data has been segregated into different databases depending on function. This can give some flexibility over where data is stored. We only notice performace issues when the database is on a different server.
