You should look in your output file (defined by MSGPATH in $TBCONFIG I recall) for a detailed message as to why the initialisation of OnLine has failed. Your kernel parameters for shared memory do look rather low; have you checked $INFORMIXDIR/release for the Solaris configuration recommendations?
