RE: Binary backups

We have been using ontape for five years now . . . . no problems. We are
able to verify our backups by occasionally restoring our production tapes to
our test system.

Then your a lucky man.
Backing up big and very busy instances with ontape can have 'issues' .
That said, quieter instances are never a problem.
