DB disc usage

To all....
I seek a simple way to accurately calculate the size of my DB. My tables
reside on raw disk, and my sysadmin is less than helpful.
My stumbling block occurs at the point of calculating, on the fly, the index
size for each table. I sum each part from systables, for each table thusly:
select sum
(part1+part2+part3+part5+part4+part6+part7+part8+part9+part10+part11+part
12)",
" from sysindexes where tabid = ",rec_systables.tabid
Yet, this number is always short of the real size.
Any clues ? (opens catcher's mitt)
Many thanks.

You should get the answers you want from sysmaster:sysextents.
select sum(size) Pages, tabname from sysmaster:sysextents
where dbsname = <whatever>
group by 2
order by 1 desc;
or the like.
