IDS 7.31UC4 loops forever

Hi,
I migrated from IDS 7.30UC8 to 7.31UC4 today (Siemens RM400 running
Reliant Unix 5.45A10).
After the first oninit, IDS logged
Performing internal conversion of disk structures and databases...
and since then has consumed more than 15 cpu _HOURS_ in two oninit
processes. No client can connect to the server. onmonitor hangs. onstat
runs, but does not report anything significant (at least to me :-).
Its quite boring, so I took a second machine and gave it a try with
oninit -i
Fine, not looping. But only until I tried a dbimport: Same Situation,
oninit processes eat up a lot of mips, nothing happens.
Is this some kind of a known problem?
Regards,
Robert

Nope, I have done ~10 conversions on Solaris/NCR/SCO. No problems.
Check $INFORMIXDIR/release/en_us/0333/IDS*
and make sure you have all the required OS patches installed.
Talk to Informix support.
