informxi is the same product regardless of the platform it is on. There are
some differences between platforms in some of the services that the OS
allows or does not allow.
Informix is the same on NT as any Unix.
When you create table, use the same lock mode row statement you use on unix.
And I normally do it using dbaccess from the Informixserver DOS type prompt
(in the Informix program group).

Subject: [ifxmaillist] Moving from Unix Inofmix to NT Informix
Hi all,
Well. We have recently updated our VB5.0/RDO 2.0 based client programs. The
client programs talk to our Unix based Informix Server 7.31 through
Intersolve 3.01 and Informix CLI 7.23. It seems that the rowlocking works
fine on this Informix server.
But the customer has got a Win NT based Informix Server (ver. ???). Can we
somehow make sure, that our client programs does rowlocking at the Win NT to
? And hopefully NOT pagelocking. (We're setting up a NT Server in a test
enviroment right now, but just in case...)
