Have you run UPDATE STATISTICS?

Don't! It can lead to even more problems (although you have to actively
enable it)

He's right. Those oninit processes are doing all the work of your old
sqlturbo processes, that's why they chew up so much CPU time.
A copy of your onconfig file might be useful, along with how many users
you're running. But try the UPDATE STATISTICS first.
