I am having a slight problem with the ISQLTCL extension to TCL.
I am using ISQLTCL version 3.1 with INFORMIX Universal
Server (9.13) on a SUN sparc 5 running Solaris 2.5.1
If (in TCL) I do an infinite loop consisting of opening a cursor,
fetching the data, then closing the cursor, after about
10,000 loop iterations, I get either an INFORMIX (SQL)
error - error code -406 - stating "Cannot allocate memory",
or I get a "segmentation fault" and the TCL interpreter
crashes.
The cursor I open is always the same and is as follows:
select * from event_log where evlg_timestamp > 'datetime string'
Column 'evlg_timestamp' is of type DATETIME YEAR TO FRACTION(5).
The TCL loop is:
while {1} {
set fd [sql open "select statement as above"]
sql fetch $fd
sql close
}
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Avi.
