More info...
I have figured out that the problem has to do with DNS lookup with our
Firewall...
So, I gave up and defined two entries in the sqlhosts file, one for local
and the other for ODBC access.
sqlhosts:
name_db setlitcp host inxhost
name_se seipcpip host sqlexec
env:
INFORMIXSERVER=name_se
