I'm thinking of investing some time in becoming a bit more knowledgeable about Informix, so when are you planning to do this, and can anyone come along? I live in Whitton - about 10 minutes by the only sensible way to travel in London - scooter, so this would be pretty convenient for me. This sounds like flamebait, but isn't, I promise! Does Informix have a future? I have a friend who is an expert, and he reckons that it has, but I wonder if I'd be better off looking at the open source alternatives (mysql in particular).
