onbar and Netbackup

Hi,
i'm now using NetBackup, STK 9730 tape array and onbar to backup our
database, but i encounter a problem that: How can i tell onbar which backup
to be restored from STK tape array, by "onbar -r -t" option?
or NetBackup can tell us?
Thanks!
Chen
OnBar will rely on the sysutils bar_* tables or $INFORMIXDIR/etc/ixbar.0
(assuming instance 0) to decide which backup versions are required,
depending on whether it is a cold or warm restore (I think). Each dbspace
backup and log backup is assigned a unique 'copyid' which is passed to the
Storage Manager (SM) -- NetBackup in your case. The SM is responsible for
identifying which tape contains that copyid and passing the data back to
OnBar.
One way to force OnBar to restore to current data from a previous (not the
latest) backup is to edit ixbar.0 and remove the latest dbspace backup
records. You should then see NetBackup call for the next-to-latest versions
of the backups. OnBar will apply them and then apply all logs since that
backup. Works pretty nicely for me (using OnBar with ADSM).
It is just kinda 'automagical'.
Hope that helps,
