Onbar problems

Does anyone have any idea why am I getting these errors while doing
backups with onbar? We have a Sun Ultra 3500 with DLT7000 tape backup.
Auto Management is turned on, so we don't label the tape manually. When
I do a Unix system backup with the ufsdump command, all works fine. I
did not try to do a restore because its a new box and we don't have test
environment set up yet. I have several questions interleaved between
this log file.
Here is a log after putting in a new tape in the DLT and issuing the
onbar -b -L 0 command.
05/15/00 21:06:08 nsrd: /dev/rmt/0un verify label operation in progress
05/15/00 21:07:00 nsrd: media notice: volume "" on device
"/dev/rmt/0un": read 16384 bytes, expected block size of 131072, check
system device configuration, disab...
05/15/00 21:07:01 nsrd: /dev/rmt/0un label operation in progress
05/15/00 21:08:28 nsrd: media notice: volume "Unknown" on device
"/dev/rmt/0un": read 16384 bytes, expected block size of 131072, check
system device configuration...
Where do I set up a block size for the tape ?
Using volume name `Sunbailey.ISMData.0002' for pool `ISMData'
05/15/00 21:10:11 nsrd: media warning: /dev/rmt/0un moving: fsf 1: I/O
error
I get this I/O error every time I start a backup with onbar, why?
When you start a backup, does the tape rewind to read a label and then
go back to its starting point? When I issue the onbar command, the tape
for some reason rewinds and then moves forward before it starts writing.

Hi Paul,
First: I am not an expert here, I have just started to run some tests
with onbar.
I label the volumes by hand.
I start the archive by: onbar -b -L0 as you do.
My DLT device is /dev/rmt/0cbn and not /dev/rmt/0un, you could try to
change this.
I can do a restore by: onbar -r
I can do a restore by: onbar -r -t "time_stamp"
Please let me hear if this helped you.

Simple question:
Did you use the NON-rewinding tape definitions? If not, then your backups
are useless, because ISM has to have COMPLETE control of that tape drive.
Your error messages sound like it ran out of data doing the fsf....
