Running c4gl programs

Hello, I am having problems running c4gl program on an Online 7.13 server, with version 6.04 of 4gl. We are porting from a Online 5.05/4.10 4gl. The error I get when I try to run the program is -25588, which says "The appl process cannot connect to Online Server online_dev" I have my INFORMIXSERVER variable set correctly & can access the database from dbaccess. I am using onipcshm as my nettype. Informix suggested changing the net type to tcp or tli, but I was unable to get them to work. Does anyone have any experience with the above error message, or any other problems I might encounter in this transition? Any help would be gratefully accepted. Also, we are porting the application to a Solaris 2.5 machine from a SunOs 4.1.3. I've copied the .4ge file from the SunOs machine & ran it succesfully via binary compatability mode. Are there any pitfalls, performance or otherwise to running the old programs on the new machine? Thanks in advance. Pete Stiglich P.S. Please reply via email
