Web Datablade Module

Hi all, We've got an Informix database at work which produces web pages via the Web DataBlade module. Although we can get pages out with a browser, we can't get the "AppBuilder" part to work so that we can add/modify the web pages. I've looked in the manuals which say point your browser at <hostname>/cgi-bin/MIval=apb (or whatever it says in the manual for using cgi-bin access) but when we do this we only get a blank page (not even an error message). Any ideas where we're going wrong? Thanks in advance!

Did you load them using the schema_load tool? Try
select object from webpages --wbpages if you use ddw
where id = 'apb';
That is the source for the main page.

I did:
select id from wbpages
got lots of page IDs back but no "apb", so I'm assuming this means
AppPage Builder isn't installed. If this is the case, is there any way
to install it without disturbing the rest of the web page
server/database?

If this is the case, is there any way : to install it without disturbing the rest of the web page : server/database? AppPage Builder inserts its data into webpages. wbpages is the table data director for web uses. Unfortunately I have no experience with ddw so I can't tell you much more. However, loading the apb schema will fail (unless you still have a webpages tables) becuase it inserts into webpages. Unless you happened to use an id that starts with apb or apb_ you _should_ be ok. The list of apppages may be found in $INFORMIXDIR/extend/web.<version>/apb/app_pages depending on version. -- Rob Wilson rwilson@ntsource.com

If you can access with a browser via cgi, then the correct URL is:
<hostname>/cgi-bin/webdriver?MIval=apb
