Hi,
if you want to create your clustered index you should follow the steps:
1.) drop the primary key constraint ( this will drop the index, too ).
2.) create an UNIQUE CLUSTER index.
3.) update statistics for that table
4.) finally add your primary key definition
Before you add a primary key/foreign key constraint you should
always create the indexes by yourself.
Be carefull ! Informix will generate it's own indexes (for the
pk/fk constraints ) if you would drop ( re-create ) your indexes
afterwards, if you would not drop your constraints before.

PS: "dbschema" will NOT destroy the order :
create table - create index - alter table add primary key
