ONCONFIG: diff betw ODS and OWS?

I've been asked to evalutate an installation of Workgroup Server. I've only used the full Dynamic Server version of Online. I started to go over the ONCONFIG file, when I remembered someone telling me that although OWS is similar to Dynamic Server, it simply ignores many of the parameters in the ONCONFIG file in favor of hard-wired values. Is there someone who can tell me which parameters are ignored/used with the Workgroup product, or point me to an online resource? Unfortunately, this installation was supplied as a whole package by a vendor and no documentation is onsite.
