REQ: rollforward with informix SE

I have a database created with informix se.
It has a log file.
I tried to reapply a log file to a backup of my data but all i can get is :
247: Rollforward database failed.
119: ISAM error: bad log record
I readed the help for error code 119, it say to see the selog utility.
The selog utility doesn't report any error .
What's wrong ?
Anyone know ?
Thank you

There isn't a hard and fast answer, especially as we have no version or
platform information. However, I would suspect that your logical log
(log file) is referencing a database record that doesn't exist. There
are many ways in which this could arise.
When you do a backup of the database, do you also zero the log file?
You should...
Did you ever have SE crash on any of your applications? That could lead
to problems if it was in the middle of a transaction at the time.
Do you ever have C-ISAM applications running against the SE data files?
Do those use the same log file as the database? If not, then that could
really cause troubles.
All that selog can say is that there are no horrendous problems or
corruptions in the log file. There can be minor inconsistencies with
the database that won't show up.
Or it could be any of a number of other problems...
